A day in Dunedin
23 november 2019 - Twizel, Nieuw-Zeeland
It was time to leave wet and cold Fiordland and all its incredible beauty behind and go cross country to Dunedin. It was a windy day, but by the time we reached the east coast the temperature had risen to 27 degrees! We left the campervan at the campsite and walked into town. We first visited the beautiful botanical gardens and the university (clock tower)
and walked around to find some street art
and had a nice sushi dinner (we miss the hairy version)
The next day the temperature had dropped back to 12 degrees, so we drove up the Otago Peninsula, visited Castle Larnach’s gardens
and had a peak at Albatross point (just some seals and sea gulls.
the rest of the day was spent driving back to the mountains and we’ll explore Lake Pukaki and Mount Cook tomorrow!
